Campaign Trail
The kindergarten kids hit the campaign trail today trying to convince other students in the school why their candidate is the best animals for the job. The students did a great job explaining their reasons to the other students.

Today was one of those magical days that we are just so thankful to spend the afternoon outside together. The forest had never looked so beautiful as the light streamed through the forest floor, highlighting the golden blanket. Today we focused on pumpkins. Checked out what we were up to:

Building our Reading Muscles!!
The kindergarten classroom continues to be a busy place for learning. In literacy we are learning the different ways to read a book (read the pictures, read the words or retell the story) and building our reading muscles. They have been working on reading to themselves and reading with partner. We also have a student teacher from Norwich spending time in our room on Thursday's. His name is Mr. Warden and will be here until December.

ECO
We had a beautiful day for ECO yesterday! We started off with a tag game and then entered the forest for the afternoon. We made clay faces and staffs, used tools to crush rocks and flowers, built shelters, made face paint out of charcoal, found a red backed salamander and swung from a low tree branch. If you would like to come out with us next time (September 27th) let us know. We will be making mouse houses!
