Making Paper Quilts

Over the past few weeks our class has been studying geometry and as of late we have been looking at quilt designs.  Today we read The Quilting Bee by Gail Gibbons, and closely at the quilts.  We talked about why they named quilts and the meaning that was behind each one.  During math workshop we made our own paper quilts and after they were finished we also named them.  Below are some examples of the quilts.  For all of our beautiful quilt designs please visit our classroom.
