Toys and Trinkets

Dear Families,

                It has been a wonderful start to the school year and I have enjoyed getting to know all of your children. One of my goals is for each child to feel valued and come to school where they are on equal playing field; free of outside distractions.  Given this, I am asking for all toys and trinkets to be kept at home.  If your child brings something to school that is not of educational importance I will ask them to leave it in their bag, if they continue to take it out I will return it to a parent or family member after school or during parent conferences.  I hope you understand the importance of enforcing this rule as there has been tears over the past week over items brought in from home.  I will also be sending home any personal school supplies.  Families are welcome to donate supplies to the class that can be shared by all.
