On Monday we got a visit from La Befana! In Italian tradition La Befana visits the children on January 6th and fills their stockings with dried fruits, chocolate, oranges and possibly coal. She travels on a broom and goes down chimneys. La Befana gave coal to me, but was taken aback from the outrage of the first graders who said I didn't deserve coal. What a lovely group of children.
