ECO Day!

Wow what a gorgeous day for ECO. Amy brought in a stuffed hawk this morning. The kids quickly went to the field guides to figure out what kind of hawk it was. It turns out it was a Cooper Hawk. When we went to the forest the kids could choose between birding with Amy, nest building with Alex or trail making with myself. At the end of the morning they all came back together and shared what they had done for the morning.

This afternoon we logged on to the Cornell University school of ornithology live web cam that is filming a red tailed hawk nest. The kids were pretty thrilled with this and we were even able to have a live chat with them.
