Happy October!

What a beautiful fall day, with some unexpected sunshine.  We had a great start to the week as our class won the golden shoe!  This shoe is given out by Mr. Sherwin to the class who accumulates the most points during P.E. class.  Our class was very excited.  During our Daily 5 today, students got to choose for the first time what they wanted to do.  After our writing mini lesson on stretching out our words when we write students got to choose between read to self, partner reading or writing.  The next round they pick a different one to do.  The students loved being able to have a choice in their learning.  Tomorrow we have our first four winds session.
